Difference between sharp and flat?
I don't fully understand why an A sharp is not a B flat, or F flat is not an E. They sound the same so why are they different?
Please note this is an example topic. You can still reply if you like.

We get this question a lot and have written a blog post about it on our website. Hope it helps!
I use it for music reading. Sharp is upward, flat is downward. So if I use for ex. C# then the previous note is before C#. If I use Cflat then the previous note is after Cflat. Its for reading the flow of your music piece
From low to high is sharp. From high to low is flat
