It is probably not a glitch or bug. But rather has to do with the fact that there are multiple intervals inside the chord. The question is about the third heard from the root note of the chord, as in "the third of the chord"

For instance:
If you hear a C major triad, the notes C - E - G.
Then C to E is a major third (and the correct answer to this question)
But E to G is definitely a minor third, just as C to G is a perfect fifth.

So either you are not hearing the interval correctly because you're not hearing it from the root of the chord. And/or you are confused about the question itself, which asks about the third in the chord (which refers to the third from the root note).

Its not a perfect prime because there is one semitone between the two notes.

A to A is a perfect prime.
A sharp to A sharp is a perfect prime.
A to A sharp is an augmented prime.

An Ab refers to an A flat major triad (chord), which does not include a minor seventh (G flat) and thus the piano displays the notes from Ab7 chord making your answer wrong.

It is because the naturals from A flat (which is an A) to E form a fifth. E being the fifth natural from A. Which makes it impossible for it to be a minor sixth. The minor sixth would be an Fb.

G3 and G#3 are 1 semitone apart.

I sometimes struggle with g to a. I found it helpful to remember 'Good Afternoon'. Especially as at the time we had a lot of school assemblies!

It is a minor third because the two notes have only 3 semitones between them. A major third needs 4.

A minor seventh chord has a perfect fifth, not diminished.

Gb diminished 7th (Gb o7) has a Fbb note in it. Eb may sound the same as Fbb but is not a diminished seventh from Gb.

A dominant seventh chord (indicated with a 7) does not have a major seventh but a minor seventh. The answer displayed on the piano is therefor correct.

B sharp would be the third of the chord, not the fifth.

G# and Ab do not have a semitone between them. So they can not be a major second.

I have to compose a 3-2 bar of music. Can I set it out as 4 semiquavers, a minim, another minim and then a crotchet or am I not allowed to layout a bar as half beat, beat, beat, half beat? I thought that was just rests!
